A Creative Path with God: Art with the Holy Spirit Practices for Returning Participants, is a workshop for adult women, led by Arella Tomlinson, MA, BFA, that is held in Monrovia, California.

Christian Professional Artist Arella Tomlinson will again guide you in practicing a fun new path with God that will allow you to:

• Sense God's inspiring and soothing presence with you
• Let the Holy Spirit illuminate and apply The Word to your life! Learn a form of Lectio Divina.
• Learn an additional way to pray...using paint!
• Get ideas to incorporate into your quiet times and journaling at home
  
  

This class is not repetitive of the previous sessions, as each time it is unique in content and process.

No art experience or skill is required. I will walk you through everything and help you feel comfortable. All art materials are provided including a beautiful high quality sketchbook for you to keep! You may bring your previous sketchbook or recieve a new one. Let me know which is your choice.

I will walk us through practices for incorporating easy-to-do creative art exercises into our prayer lives with God, to help us draw closer to God and to pray and worship and experience the Spirit's application of the bible to our lives.  All in new and creative ways. No artistic skills or art experience is required whatsoever! It includes learning visual art forms of the practices of prayer, of Lectio Divina, as well as using art materials to ‘make a joyful noise’ with and for God only. Our focus will be cultivating a sense of Rest in God's presence which includes no self-judgement, and a sense of curiosity and play. I will lead the workshop from a Christian perspective and open and close with a prayer. Past participants have told me that this workshop was a soothing and restorative part of their week!

Held in person at the Clay Art Pottery West Studio outdoor Pavillion at 315 N. Alta Vista Street in Monrovia, CA.  View Beautiful Location!
